Best bore size - 350X
Hey guys, I'm new to the forum here and I'm looking for a little advice. I recently purchased a 350x that is need of rebuild to put into a quad frame, a hybrid project. While I'm building this motor i want to have something when I'm done that can be competitive on an amateur level motocross track. Doesn't have to be the fastest thing out there, it will be tough to compete with the new 450's, but something to get me close. I've always been a fan of the 350X motor and have realized its potential, I'm really pumped about this project. So my question is, how big do I go? I am open to a big bore stroker, I think that's a good option to keep the thing balanced, but do I need to? Is it smart to go as close to a 450 as I can just to get the displacement comparable. I guess my question is, what would be the best setup for mx at an amateur level. I'm not going pro here, but I also want something I'm going to be happy with on the track. Any advice would be appreciated!

There are a few kits out there. I dont know exact sizes but i have seen them up around a 460 kit and if I remember right I once saw a 520 kit for it. I dont know stable that would be, but if it ran it would be killer. I did the 350x hybrid few years back. Worked out great! If it had a better electric start than the goki one i threw on I would have kept it. It flew through those 6 gears like a maniac! Good luck with your project! IF you have any questions, feel free to ask and i'll try to answer as best i can.
