anytime you modify id guess it does a little bit, but nothing noticeable. theres a give for every take. you want the performance? well then you have to sacrifice some reliability

nobody can tell you how long it would take, depends who did the work and whos riding the quad! do you think a 440 kit is the only thing you can do for a 400? i think maybe you just better get a raptor or a 450

Default Honda 400ex CDI box...

Just installed a Stage 2 AMR Racing Performance CDI box and my bike started easier immediately. Waiting on other parts (chain and sprokets) before I go riding.

I do mostly trail riding and don't rev out like a race bike and was looking for just a little extra down low. I'll post my results after my first test ride when the other parts come in.

The box was easy to install, a little high under the right front fender secured with a rubber holder around the stock one. I used a trusty zip tie to secure the new smaller box and applied new dielectric grease to the connector before plugging it in.

It fired right up instead of cranking and cranking with the stock box when cold. I'm happy with just the easier starting without even riding it!

Hope this helps,
Thanks
Ed
