Default Moving up from 300ex to....

Hey guys, whats up? I'm new to these forums but deffinently not new to riding. I'm wondering what to upgrade to. I currently ride a honda 300ex. Bare in mind I can push that thing as hard as it will go. I was thinking of maybe a 400ex but idk. I'm even considering a raptor 660. I want to move up to a quad where there isn't really a need for upgrading to something even bigger down the road. Thanks, and all suggestions appreciated!

What kind of riding do you do? GNCC? MX? Trail? Mud? Sand?

Yeah it really depends on the riding the 400ex would work good for trail riding. and some sand but if you are wanting to ride track i would say 450. other good ones are ltz400, raptor 700, and all the 450s

Well for the most part we really just trail ride. But i can push the 300 as hard as it will go. Also, I really just want to stick with either honda or yamaha. But yeah, trailing, some mud, jumping, etc. are all we really do. I'd prolly never enter whatever I get into a race or anything. Now, is a raptor 660/700 to big of a step up? Also, I like the 400ex, but I dont wanna be in another situation where I'm looking to upgrade yet again. Hopefully this next quad I puurchase will be all I'll need for a long while. Keep the suggestions coming!

How big are you? The 400EX is one of the nest trail quads made and there are tons of mods you can put on it. Also, maybe look at CanAm 450.

You will get used to the 400ex/400z fast and be posting this message again. Go with a 660/700 Raptor, the 450s are fast but since there the same motors they use in Motocross bikes it will need a top end rebuild ever 150hrs like a motorcross bike.

The 660 is a great trail quad if you are a taller/heaver person. The 660 is just not as low to the ground as 400 class quad due to the motor design. The 660 when modded will beat or keep up with just about any quad out there. They have TONES of potential with TONES of power!
