Did you recheck timing after you turn it off? cam chain tensioner could have slipped when engine stopped. causing cam chain to jump an tooth... also is your starter clutch slipping and not turning engine fast enuff... try pushing off in second gear an see if its starts! BUT don,t pull off....Good Luck...

its in time. it turns over fast its making a noise thats hard to explain but it hits every other rotation we pulled every plug in off and cleaned checked the fuse timing chain is tight acts like a electrical problem but we changed the cdi and coil and stator

I guess I would make another ground like use an jumper cable[use one side] black side to engine and other black to frame to see if harness ground or frame is cracked making an incomplete grond... Can you put an timing light on and look at electical timing to see if its advances..... Also did you replace spark plug? Good Luck.

You can take the spark plug out and put your finger over the hole. It should have at least enough compression to blow your finger off the whole and make a loud pop, this is how i found out my bike didn't have enough compression. I would still use a compression checker though if you have one. If not you could have a burnt/stuck valve or one that isn't seated well and losing compression.

im a atv mechanic and i have a atv mechanic togeather we have over 15 years exp it has so much compression it will allmost feel like it burns your finger if you try to hold it over the plug hole. chnaged plugs 5 times its not the ground its not the carburetor its 1005 in time and we have been thru the engine top end all new it has us stumped to say the least.
