I'm browsing through the service manual for my 99 recon and looking at swingarm removal. Why does the wheels, brake, and axle have to be removed to remove the swingarm? I have a 250X and the manual said the same thing but all I did was take the chain & shock off and remove the swingarm bolt and no problem. What's the truth here?
