Default old 4trax charging issue

My old fourtrax 300 has a charging issue,at idle its putting out 10.6 volts as throttle is increased voltage drops to 6.4 volts,at idle dash lights seem bright but with throttle increase they start to dim, going to start checking tomorrow.voltage should be alot higher even at idle.anyone else ever ran into this.

You must have 12.3volts in batt.before you start testing charging system than at ilde on this unit 12.6-13.1,than touch throttle up to bout half throttle than charging rate should go 13.6-14.4 volts there about and than regulate!
