sounds like an OK price..play around, if you can't get it for less move on and look else where. Offer him, 1,500..find things that are broke or whatever.
they are the same as the 300ex. The perfect trail bike
hey tooey you live in cadiz? i'm like 20 minutes from there. Are you on AIM or ICQ? 101631956 or Aaron24699 on AIM.
Maybe we can hook up and go riding down at the creeks?

I bought a '87 250X and I have had no problem with anything. The motor will start after the first or second try. It will go anywhere that my dad's 4x4 will go. it is an awesome trail bike. $1800 sounds like a good price for such a good quad. Mine was around the $2000 range, but it was in showroom condition.

I sold my '87 250X last October for $1000. It ran well and everything worked, except the tail light. For your price the quad better look in really nice shape and have a lot of life left in it. The one guy's comment about it being 14 yrs old was funny to me. That is exactly what I thought when I put mine up for sale.

Thats the normal price for one of those. Ask if he'll take 1500 and see what he says, then maybe you can meet somewhere in between.
It's a great, very very very reliable, pretty damn powerful quad. You won't be diappointed especially if this is your first sport quad.
One of the best things about the 250x is that it's the same thing (basically) as a 300ex so there are tons of aftermarket parts for it.
I say if it's in good shape, go for it.
