fuel leak

Default fuel leak

have a 2001 honda400ex. when i start it gas pours out of the two skinny black hoses that come off the carb what to do?shut gas off naturally it stops. just started to do this.ugh

Carb. needs to be cleaned, either the float is sticking or the needle valve has crud in it not allowing it to seal properly and cut off the flow.

When it is coming out of the tubes try tapping the carb. bowl with a screwdriver handle or something equilivent and see if it stops.

My Rancher has done the same thing a couple of times. I just shoot some air into the overflow hose and it clears whatever was making the float stick. I added some Seafoam to the gas and haven't had the problem since.
