Default 2007 Recon Front brakes - nadda

My buddy bought a 2007 Recon, first owner, has only been able to ride it a handful of times.
The front hydraulic brakes have already given out. I don't know much about the brake setup, but I tried to help him out.
- The reservoir is filled to the line.
- I couldn't find any leaks.
- The seals I could find looked good (but I'm no expert).
- I helped him bleed both front brake lines as best I could (like you do with a car.)

What else should we look at? There is simply no pressure when you squeeze the lever. As seldom as this ATV has been used, I am thinking something must be defective and hopefully it's something that you experts see a lot.

Thanks in advance!

sounds like the shoes have worn down some and need to be adjusted.. take the brake drum off and look inside there it should be dry if not then water has gotten in there and caused some damage but dont worry. with the drum off pull the brakes and see if the shoes are moving if they are just adjust them just like a car with those little spinny things.. Make sure you clean the brakes good get all the crap out of there and when you put it back together make sure you grease the seal on the drum. As for adjusting them on the hub there should be a little rubber plug you take that out and spin the wheel until you see the adjuster inside turn those until you feel the brake grab then back it off a little, there should be 2 adjustments per wheel. the most important thing with the drum brakes is greasing the seal liberally.. Ohhh and tryin to not sit idle in a ton of water helps too =)

If you find a good answer let me know please!! I asked this question a couple of months ago and haven't resolved the problem yet. I replaced the shoes and adjusted and still have the same problem.

Very little if any resistance when I squeeze the front brake.

Have any of you with this problem looked at the master cylinder? Could very well be bad seals in that as well.
