Question come on guys help me out please

i have a 2006 honda rancher 400 at and it started leaking gas from the bottom of the bowl so i did what someone said about takeing the bottom of the bowl off and cleaned it with carb cleaner put it al bak togeter and turned the gas on and it still leaked not as bad but when i started it up and gave it some gas about wide open it stoped leaking and i rode it and it still has stoped leaking now even with the motor turned off what could have happend and should i take it back apart or just ride it ?

I think maybe you had some trash in bowl holding the needle up from seating therefore shuting off the flow of gas to the bowl. This would make the bowl vent thru the overflow hose.....it has happened to me a couple of times with honda atvs & 2 times with an old harley I had......hope this helps.....last time it happened to me I took my foreman for a rough ride over some bumpy ground & it stopped......

I think your good to go.........if it happens again try a quick bumpy ride, or shut off the fuel supply & run it out of gas in the carb......
