Default Should I Change Oil?

Just wanting to get some input or thoughts. Went away this past week-end to go riding, On saturday we went 93 miles. My question is that a little less than half way into the ride, we were going through a pretty deep water hole (for me anyways). While I was in the water hole the water was a little below the seat and my hand slipped off the throttle and before I could get it back on the bike stalled out. After about 2 minutes I got it going and went through the rest of the water and the day with no problems. I was talking to a friend today and he said to change my oil? Should I do this or not. The bike had a fresh oil change and filter 3 rides ago. Thanks in advance!!

Check your oil for water in it. If you got water in it, your oil will look like chocolate milk. I have ridden through a hell of a lot of water and never had a problem. I check my oil before and after every ride and at every lunch break or extended stop. Only takes a minute and can save a lot of damage. If it has any indication of water, without question, change it.

Would I check it at the dip stick? Or drain a bit? Thanks!! Drove dirtbikes for years and now getting into the fourwheeling I am still in the process of learning everything. Thanks again

Let it sit for a day or two and crack the drain plug. Just crack it and see if a drop or two of water comes out. The water will phase seperate out and go to the bottom.
