Replacing A Arms On 300EX

Default Replacing A Arms On 300EX

Going to replace the a arms on a 300ex with some +2 a arms. Do you need special tool for seperating the ball joints at the end of a arms?

Yes you do. DO NOT hammer them out or you will ruin them. You might be able to rent the tool at a Honda dealer. Or take the arms off the bike and take them to a dealer to have the joints removed. It will take all of 3 minutes so it can't be much money to have done.

Thanks for reply. What about installing the new wider a arms? Need special tool for that?

Not a problam with that. It's just getting the ball joint off that you need a tool for.
