I'm looking to get a 1986 Honda Fourtrax 200 for my little brother. Does anyone know if this is a good quad? Does it have any problems? And also, how much suspension travel does it have? Thanks

Man theres just about not a better choice than the sx. Its pretty reliable just keep the chain tight tho. You shouldn't ever have to touch the valves or top end. It doesn't have over 4in of travel in the front but it uses it good. it doesn't push in the corners and the shocks will bottom out when you get enough air. The engine is good for a beginner. If you abuse the auto clutch to much it will slip.

My friend has a sx and i rode a few times and didnt like it as much as my 250ex. But i guess its cuz im use to my ex. My friend says he likes it and hes never had is serviced and has done some pretty rough riding yet is still starts up everytime and runs fine except the chain is always popping off. By the way, anyway know how to fix that?

been pulling logs and cement with my SX until last week when i bought the rubi. Never a clutch or any problem. Grind off a link on the chain to tighten it back up, that will keep it on

Yep mine keeps going and going...I went riding today with my friends and noting went wrong...It's held up good, they have great acceleration speed but a slow top speed.

Do what JRM said, it will be like new when you put it back on, keep some chain oil on it so it lasts longer.(I use Castrol chain oil).
