New to forum...trx90 question
#1
Hello, I have been using info on this site to decide on and install a Pirana 110 3spd with reverse onto a 2003 trx90 that i picked up for $50. I have the motor in and running, started tuning now. About to try going up on the jet bc I am running a 1.5" foam Unifilter. The jetting and carb sticky has been VERY helpful!
So, on to my question... The rear tire is an 18-8-8 (oth dry rotted). The chain guard has very little ground clearance with the 18. What is the largest tire that i could run on the little 8" stock wheels? Ive looked at some 20-10-8, but not confident they will fit on my wheels. I have a nice set of 18-10-8 ITP holeshots that i am tempted to try, but that still an 18" tire.
Thanks for all the help

IMO 20 inch is bout the tallest i would put on that atv. you got remember you may lose power. But yes if you have an 8 inch wheel both tires you mention will mount fine,, the first number on atv tire is height of tire, the second number is width, the third number is wheel size...Good Luck

Thanks for the reply..You basically said what i was thinking. Was just curious if anyone who had tried a 10inch wide taller tire on stock wheels. I saw some adapters on Ebay that would allow me to use the 18-10-8 with the ITP wheels that they are on...but If I am spending that money I might as well just buy new tires.
I think I am goin to order some 20x 7 or 8 x8 for it.
