i have a 2000 honda trx 300 it my only true hunting buddy she will go with me anytime i ask her. the third week in november i killed a nice 8 point buck she help me get the deer back to camp i got the deer skined and was about to carry off the scrap parts i got on here pushed the starter button she started and back fired and died and she would not start again she will turn over but wont start. dose anyone know what might be wrong with her

 

Not knowing much about a 300....I would say it's an ignition problem. Have you pulled the plug and checked for spark? That's the first thing I would check.
Then go from there.

 

check for spark check for fuel, the bad news is if it back fired and now it wont run... check the timing chain, may have jumped time when it back fired.

 

Put an new spark plug in and check the carb. mount[the rubber intake boot] sometimes when backfires it will cause intake boot to comes off carb flange....causing an leak mixture...
