1987 fourtrax 125 question

should there be oil inside the left side cover around the stator ? or do i have bad seal somewhere ?

yes this is normal.no you do not have a bad seal.

thanks. i have a intermittent spark ,so it must be the cdi box.

I would try a spark plug first. check your gas make sure no water or dirt in it.unhook hose off carb and put in glass jar to see if you see any water or dirt. let gas sit in jar for 10 min to let water seperator.
