Towards the end of the summer i had purchased an old 1987 honda trx350d foreman 4x4 atv off of a friend. It needed some work mostly plastics and electronics. i was able to ride it for about a month before the carb started leaking (more like spraying) gas out of the overfill. my first thought was oh the floats must be stuck so after awhile of trying to "unstick" the floats i bought a moose carb rebuild kit and replaced all the valves, floats, and gaskets. i was able to ride maybe another week before the carb started pouring out gas again. I ended up rebuilding a used carb i found online and replacing the old carb with it. Needless to say the carb is still pouring gas out of the overfill. Could it be the Atvs fuel pump? Please Help.

 

To my knowledge your foreman shouldn't have a fuel pump on it. Should be a direct line from tank to carb. That's it. Sounds like the float height needs adjusted.

 

It has a black fuel pump on the left of the engine. it primes the carb with i start it or first turn the kill switch on. i also noticed when i unplug the pump while the atv is running the fuel stops pouring out but then engine also dies a minute later and wont start back up until i reconnect the pump.
