Ugly..I just might take you up on that. Its alot more fun to drag when many are racing. I sandrag at Big River Sandrags in Bonne Terre. First race of the season is March 31, practice begins at 5:00. Top eliminator could win $300-$500. I'm sure there will be a few Raptors there. Any of you guys that say bracket drag racing is easy well maybe you guys should come on down, up or over and show us how to do it, just don't forget the wallet.

I want tt start racing down there.I know it isn't as easy as people say.I know a couple guy's that race down there. One of them's name is davey eubanks and the other's name is mark he has a banshee.Davey has a mach 1 white a 250r extended swingarm and a 350x fork and front wheel. He also has a FTZ330 in a 85 atc250r frame. The atc is mint and awesome the mach1 is green and fast!
I am going to get some sand devils on some wheels and I might show up down there one time.
Hey pudjumper what do you ride?

I was at the local ridin place last month and i saw a raptor for the first time. I have seen them in the dealer but not riding. Anyway it was totally stock, I saw him beat a guy on a modified yz 125. They dragged about 1/5 a mile. The raptor smoked him even when he gave him a head start. Then a guy with a yellow 400ex (stock) came up and beat the guy on the raptor. I have seen a raptor get beat by 400exs all over.
I think that it is because you have to be carefull on the throttle with the raptor where as on the 400ex you can ride it hard.
RIDE RED!!!

i was going to try not to reply to this but oh well....this past thursday before rupturing my ear drum at Piedmont Dragstrip, there where many quads racing there....the most they said that they have had there in a long long time....it so happens there was a 500cc banshee, 330r, a piped raptor, some stock 400exs(one which had to be a 440 but wouldnt say), a nitrous mojave, two 330ex's, a built scrambler 500 with yoshi, and my 416ex.... the strip was 1/4 of a mile which was way too long for my set up.... i was racing on nobbys and geared low with 18 inchers for track riding....however, i won a great deal of these races against the 330s, 400s and scramblers...one 400 that said he was stock beat me a bike everytime, so therefore i really dont think it was stock...and i seen the 330s beat the raptor but i didnt get a chance to race the raptor.......the 330r was the fastest by far making it in almost the 7's at 87.8 mph......the banshee 500 was all over the strip spinning..way too much power if you ask me, but he was in the 80s aswell.....i ran an impressive 9.5 at 66.7 mph with low gearing and small tires......i was happy with that outcome....with larger stock tires and taller gearing i would have been over 70 easy and touch 9 probably.....the 330s where right there..they are extremely modified with lectrons and lots of head work.....one of them made it in the 9's once at 66.3 mph......thats good but they where ready and geared tall..the scrambler was a hair behind the 330s which was impressive seeing how much it weighed and was a 4x4...but his was highly modified also with yoshi pipe, head work, piston, cam, and lectron carb......***NOW for the catch of this post....the raptor ran an average in 10.4 at only 65 mph.......thats stock everything but pipe and filter.....thats clocked and timed by professionals at this well known track in NC...... theres a lil proof to help with this topic, thanks, and sorry it had to be so long....

According to there speed chart at the bottom of the page, the 400ex and Raptor are not even close in acceration.
Why would they say "Once the forest begins to open up even a bit, however the 660cc four stroke power can completly over power the friendly 400"
That does not sound like a quad that can beat the Raptor in a drag to me,are they lying?
