oh and also i have to like giggle a cord to get my nutral lite to stay on any way to fix that and my lights dont work eirth front and back

 

that sounds like you have something shorting out in the wireing i hate working on that stuff cause it can be many things on your light have you checked the bulbs and with the nuetral light its not making a good conection on the light there but i dont know were to have you start looking on that besides checking the bulbs and seeing if the conectors are clean

 

the neutral like connection is pretty poor but im not sure about the lights i haven't seen them on the owner said he cant remember if they work because the quad been siting for a few months i bought it of an older man ill have to check the lights maybe the bulbs are burn out or something

 

that be your best bet on the light when you get it running check them and then check the bulb if it they dont work the neutral lite sounds like a poor conection in the conector so it check there for that sence its been setting just go through and do a good check on it i got mine running after it sat for a year and half and yester day i had to pull the carb off again sence i got it running 3 weeks ago then saturday i busted a snap ring on, on the right rear axle when i was jumping it i ride alot and hard so im running into a few problems with mine

 

On the 400EX the fuel is turned on when the fuel switch is pointed down to the ground it is off when the switch is parrallel to the ground.

 

Make sure the choke is off. Hold it wide open and crank it til it starts. It can be easy to leave the choke on if you don't know the machine that well yet U might have to change the plug.
