What year did Honda put selectable 2wd/4wd on these 2 models? Also how many trouble free miles do some of you have on either 1 of these? Any problems to look for on used?

 

I know they started putting selectable 4wd on the Rubicons in 2005. Not to sure about the Foreman.

We have a 2005 Rubicon with about 9500 miles and we have had to replace a few things, mostly wear items like the front bearings, tie rods, starter, nothing major yet. Battery and brakes have never been replaced. The only thing it needs now is a timing chain. That could be because it gets shut on and off so much.

 

My aunts Foreman is a 2002 and it has selectable 2wd/4wd.
