I have a 95 fourtrax and on the left side of the engine there is a bundle of wires going into the case, presumably to the stator or whatever. Well the outside sheath is tore on mine, will this let in water or is there a seal where it enters the case?

 

on my 400ex theres a seal as it enters the case also.

 

Just cover it with good RTV or silicone.
