Always stuck with Razrs or Holeshots. Both seem to be great tires that do pretty ok on soft stuff and great in hard packed ground. I believe both are 6 ply. Not sure about the Dunlops but, I'd check. Razrs adn Holeshots do hookup great...on hard surfaces. Not so much in soft stuff.

Most Dunlops I've looked at are a bit more balanced. Designed to preform good in all terrains. Not as good as the Razr's or Holeshots on the track or maybe in the yard but, good in softer ground.

I have had Holeshots in the past. I have since purchased 6 ply Razrs and love them! I have been riding them for about 2 seasons now and they are lasting great. The only time I really notice the difference is when I am on a softer/damper ground, but I would totally pick Razr's again over Holeshots. They hook up great too.

I will say one plus for ITP is the matching wheels. ITP tires on a set of ITP rims looks great. The bead sits flush with the lip of the rim providing a smooth seamless transition from tire to rim that looks great. My Maxxis/Douglas combo has a fat lip that sticks out and is dinged all to heck.

Ok, where are you those tires are so high priced? Personally, I prefer 6 ply tires and usually the stock Dunlops are only 2 or 4 at most. ITP and Maxxis are going to 4 or 6ply, some models are sold in both. In my experience, the original Maxxis Razr rear tire in 6 ply is just about the best all around, long wearing, inexpensive tire going. I have also had very good results with ITP. Currently I am running GBC Race Rex on my YFZ and 250R. These run a little smaller than Maxxis/ITP of the same size, but I think they would be just about perfect on a 300EX. I really like the front GBC, because they will pop up out of ruts better than anything else I have ever run.
