As long as you can build a 250, no pro is gonna run a 400 4stroke.

Well noone has really went to a 400 in the quad classes, but there are a few in the bike classes. There have been a few pros riding 400's here and there, but nothing on a normal basis.

So I wouldn't say NO PRO is going to.

I really dont think you need high cc quads to be competitive. A 300ex with the right mods and an experienced rider can destroy all those other bikes.

I do not think that the 600+ class sport quads will die out. There is a big market for them right now. Same for the 400 class machines, and likewise for the small 250 class quads. The sport quad market is on fire right now. If anything, we will see a new Open Pro class for racing along with the 250 (400 four stroke) Pro class.

If all these Quads become reality, It could be the end of the 250cc two stroke pro class. It could be back to the glory days of atv racing that we saw in the 80's. If that happens, all the "pros" will want factory rides, and there are no factory built 250's anymore. I can definetly see the day when the pro class is the 400-500cc four stroke class.
