my prediction is that in a little over a year the racing circuits will be overflowing with the new 400EXR, FX400, Suzuki400 QuadRacer, a new Bombardier FS440, and Kawasaki's 450 Apache...

these quads will be light, small, nimble, and powerful... and the Raptor and DS650 will go the way of the dinosaurs...

i have heard of the EXR but where did you hear about a kawasaki apache? also i wish kawasaki didn't name their quads after indians. no offense to any native americans out here i just don't think those kind of names go with quads.

Guys he was just making those names up. But it would be nice to see those types of quads for sure.

I made up the names AND the quad sizes...

but the point is 600+ cc's will NEVER make it on the tracks... only in the desert...

to get a truely good handling quad, the manufacturers are gonna have to keep things under 375lbs. and find a way to get more HP from 400cc motors... like Cannondale did

I hope that all of those quads are available within the next couple of years.
Realistically, are any of these "to-be-announced" quads gonna have 45+ hp and be full blown race quads weighting in less than 350 pounds? No. All of those quads will be trail ready with the aftermarket stepping in to make them race ready. These quads will not be humiliating the DS or Raptor in stock form. Speaking of trail ready, if these quads have a peaky power output, which goes hand-in-hand with very high RPM peak HP, these quads will be in the same caterogory as the Banshee. Not that the Banshee is'nt a good trail rider, it just does'nt appeal to most trail riders....

Right on, juggalo! Where IS Political Correctness?

Next thing you know, they'll be naming CARS after Native Americans!

Can you imagine an automobile, named, say "Pontiac?" Or, "Cherokee?"

Wouldn't be surprised if military aircraft didn't follow suit. "Apache?" "Blackhawk?"

Ah, the shame of it all! What a cruel, insensitive world we live in!

I dont agree with your opinion, but that makes us human.

The 400's will be the main race patform for the coming years and the 660's, 650's, etc., will be in the category with thte Banshee. They will be running the open clases while the 400's will be the main Pro class choice.

ModdedX, did you read my previous post? Are you actually responding to someone else? I posted nothing that relates to your reaction....

I may have mis-read your post. When I read it the first time, it seemed that you were saying that the 400's would be going to the wayside and that the 600's would be the rides of the future.

But as I re-read your post I see you were responding to DSapp's post.

I am trying to do too may things at once(I am at work)..
