I recently bought a new 450 with an HRC kit installed from the dealer, and I was wondering what it should sound like. for instance should there be any tapping noise coming from the engine. When I'm riding at the Dunes (glamis) in mid range of 3rd and 4th gear i hear a tapping noise, I was told that it was just the exhaust, is that correct? when I go to full throttle of the same gears it goes away. What is making that noise? I took the baffle out of the pipe thinking that might be what was making the niose but it still does it.

 

is it a spark knock like when its lugging caus my 450r does that sometimes the things are built to be run wide open if you let it build alot of rpms before you shift it wont do it
