Hi guys I'm new here. My name is Vince and i have been riding for 10 years on and off from atvs to dirt bikes. I am 5'6 150 lbs. I have come to the conclusion that I hate dirt bikes after wreaking and getting a concussion on my KTM 105 2 times. I am looking to get a used quad since I don't like any new 450s right now. I am debating weather to get a raptor 700 or a z400/400ex. I ride mostly trails and large open fields and occasionally my buddy's mx track. The jumps aren't huge but the landings aren't plush. I would like it to be able to be dogged to heck without breaking or putt around my house going from job to job. Any Imput would be greatly appreciated.

 

I vote for the 400EX.

 

 

What do the 400s top out at?

 

You'll get a lot of answers there...... some say 64, others 67.....

If you choose an ATV by it's top speed, go with the Raptor.

The 400's strength is in it's handling and braking.

Both are great dependable rides, especially the 700 Raptor with fuel injection

My choice would be the Raptor, but I'm 50 pounds heavier than you

 

Yea even though its 3-1 on the voting i think I'm going to go with the raptor. Its more my style and 2g in mods can make it eat 450s alive. Thanks for all of your input
