I'm not a 4stroke fan by any means, but if they put the CR450F motor in an atv, it will do a hell of alot more than "keep up" with the Raptor.

Yeah I Say that,
but in my opinion it would be like riding a 440EX. I may be wrong though. I think they sould come out with something with more that just 50 more cc's than the 400. Or just drop the 400EX, Which they won't because it is the best selling bike out there. Don't know though. Anyone who disagrees with me make a post.

I know I'm dreamin about this but it sure would be nice if they would just cut the crap and drop in a CR500 engine in a quad frame similar to the 400EX. Though i know I'm dreamin about that kind of power in a stock quad, honestly I think Honda will follow their same lines as the 400EX and drop in a bigger XR motor like the 650 or something.

BigBlaster, don't just label a motor by CCs.It would only be an increse of 50CCs but it would be an increase of 20 HP. Like I said i'm a 4stroke fan by no means, but the YZ426 and the CR450F are in a different time Zone than the XR based 400EX.

BigBlaster...you have to be kidding! Try to trade my shee for a 440EX+$$$ and I'll say no. Trade a CRF powered for my shee...I might say yes, although I'm far from a Honda fan!
This is a brand new performance engine, not a usable power (the politically correct term for dog) engine.
CRF450 powered quad? I might love to have one!!

Just like a YZ 400 will smoke a 400EX even though they are the same cc's. With race bike technology and 50 more cc's it would be a lot more than a 440EX. It would kill it.

I doubt Honda will do anything soon. Sounds like the Cannondale could be what everyone really wants IF it holds up and can be made to put out power at least close to the awesome YZ426. It would be sweet though, I just can't sell my built up 250R for a stock 400EX, Raptor, or DS650. I have over 50HP now that I am used to and even 35HP just won't do. Maybe soon Suzuki will release that new 400 that Doug Gust is using in a quad and we will have even more choices.

A yz 250f will tear any atock four stroke quad to bits. The technology they put in the dirt bikes is terific. If they would put that effort into quads they would be way faster and more powerful.
