Question can't shift gears on my 2007 rancher

My electric shufter has stopped working and i an not find the place to use the shifter tool. to put it in neutrel. it looks like it in on the front of the engine near the oil plug in the book but it just ain't there. Help I do see a lock nut on a threaded peg could that be it-if so tool does not fit.

Question

I have looked everywhere on that side and front of engine. It is not like I don't kow what it looks like. I have the wrench. I simply can not locate it. maybe this motor is an anomaly.

mine is on the left side just behind the foot peg, cant miss it. Might as well order a angle sensor and make sure you have a good 12 volts on the battery. I just went through this very thing with my 05 rancher es

Question not yet

well I looked there about a dozen times and it is not there. However there is a 6 sided indention cast in front portion of the block about 3/8" deep. so as of now it is still in gear.Local Honda guy took me over to show it to me on a new one and he couldn't fine it either.

so, for those of you that have replaced the angle sensors, is it an easy swap out? i have a rancher AT 400. I am going to order a back up angle sensor just to keep in my on board tool box. I do a lot of weekend hunting trips. So I don't bring all my tools with me.

thanks
