When I was riding my 250EX I noticed in 1st I could do a small wheelie without pulling the handlebars. So I tried to bigger wheelies but I couldn't do them bigger I could only do them longer. So I tried again. I put it in 1st revved the motor high, stoud up, pulled the handlebars and... YEEEHAAAA!!! I did a gigantic wheelie I thought I was gonna roll it!

Keep practicing!!! My friend did a wheelie on his fiancee's Recon for at least a half a mile. He had to let it down because his arms were getting tired, and he was so far away, we couldn't see him anyway.

I can pull 3rd gear wheelies on my wifes 250EX. No need to rev it up and pop it, just gas it and yank the bars, and up the front end comes! It is a fun quad I think.

Well I don't own a 250ex but I do have a 300ex. I can pull a wheelie in 1 2 and 3rd gear. When i ride em i start in 1st and ride out the gear and shift to 2nd then ride the gear out and shift to 3rd and so on. Once i get it in 4th i lose power and it sets down. But once i get my 330 kit i will be able to go for a loooong time. right now i can do about 150 yards.

Lose power? What. My 300ex is stock except for 20 inch razr's and I can get it topped in 5th on a wheelie! No lie.I just lean back in 1st or second and take drop the clutch and up she goes and I am just bngin gears from there.

The wind and tire airpressure is my main concern.Little to much in the left tire and you aren't going straight anymore. And when you are doin 45-50mph on a wheelie The wind doesn't like those big fenders.

Ugly,

Suuurrreee you did! My 400EX won't pull a wheelie to 5th gear. The wind at 50mph would knock you back. The 300EX doesn't have the power to pull into 4th gear. I have tried. The 400EX doesn't need to be shifting to ride. Just slap the gas and shift then slap it again, shift, then slap it again. Then you can run the gear out. But, if you try to shift again. . . . . . . . . You run out of power.

If you have to dump your clutch to get the front wheel off the ground then I know you're pretty sorry or 300 is just powerless. I can pull a wheelie on a TRX125 with the bars.

Sorry, But you must be mistaking 5th for 1st.

HondaKid15,

If you played with the gas instead of running the gear out, you could do longer wheelies!

Look, I'm not going to argue with you.

If you and your buddy(s) want to hide behind a monitor. Then, ok.. But, the ex can't ride them into 5th. OR AT 50MPH! That's the impossible part. Heck yes, I can get the wheel off the ground on the EX in 5th. But, just a foot or so. Maybe if I hit a serious bump.

I don't to fight with you either!I am tired of people fighting on this furom.Like you say we will never meet each other so You will never know. But I really can do it.I doubt that I am going 50 mph Because the the wind resistance wouldn't let the bike go that fast. And Like you say it would just flipe the bike backwards. But I really do get in 5th on a wheelie no lie.

This thread was about the 250EX...

Anyway, I believe ugly, I can upshift to a wheelie in 5th on my 400EX. I can pull one in 4th and shift it to fifth. Not sure how fast I am going, but 5th gear wheelies are possible. May not be easy, but they are possible. Just don't go over backwards! I could ride 'em in 6th on my Blaster, so I am fairly confident a good rider can do them on a 300EX.
