Default honda 125m

Hi guys. I was given a 125m yesterday so I have a couple questions. First what year is it? Where do I look on it to find out. Second how many years was it made. Third are parts available for it(fenders). And finally where do I start to try and figure out if its worth saving. It had fire when I was cranking it. I had to jump the starter. Then hooked the battery jumper cables from my truck to it backwards accidentally and now no fire. This will be my first attempt at trying to get a project rolling. Is it worth the effort?

to find the year, make, model, and vin, on the honda 125m just look up under the gas tank on the left side of the front forks and there is a mfg. sticker listing all the pertinent data. body parts and plastic are available from a variety of online sources, just do a google search for honda atc parts and you'll get more hits than you could ever read. I feel your pain, just got mine about 2 months ago, but I got lucky. it sat in a barn for 20 years and after a good wash and polish to remove accumulated ratcrap it looked new. rebuilt the carb, derusted the gas tank and replaced the battery and away I went.. not running right, but it is running. wish ya luck.. and yer gonna love it when yer done.
