MY PARTNER AND I HAVE DESIGENED A DOUBLE TUBE REAR BUMPER FOR THE HONDA RUBICON. IT IS MADE OF 1" HEAVY WALL TUBE STEEL WITH RADIUS BENDS THAT MATCH THE LINES OF THE RUBICON. THIS BUMPER MOUNTS INTO THE REAR FRAME OF THE MACHINE, NOT TO THE RACK LIKE ALOT OF OTHER AFTERMARKET BUMPERS DO. WE HOPE TO MARKET THESE. I WILL BE POSTING PICTURES SOON.

THANKS

Saw one at a dealer with a double tube Kimpex bumper that looked damn mean! Really helps cover up that wimpy plastic that covers the front bars.

Andy, how did it attach. Usually the Kimpex bumpers attach to the racks with U-bolts. I have no desire for something like that.

I'd like to see it too. Does it obstruct the rear trunk door at all. Most that I've seen do. I'll wait to see what you've got, but right now I really like the Bush Crawler by MTV. It's the best looking, and sturdiest one that I've seen. Check it out at:

HOW DOES THE BUSH CRAWLER MOUNT? OURS MOUNTS INTO THE FRAME. OUR BUMPER PROTECTS THE PLASTIC, RACK, AND LIGHTS. MOST EVERY BUMPER I HAVE SEEN MOUNTS TO THE RACK, SO IF YOU BACK INTO A TREE OR SOMETHING; YOU ALSO GET YOUR RACK DAMAGED! I PERSONALY WOULD NOT WANT MY RACK OR PLASTIC DAMAGED. WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF A BUMPER? , TO PROTECT EVERYTHING AROUND THE AREA THE BUMPER SUROUNDS. THAT IS WHY I DO NOT LIKE THE OTHER BUMPERS ON THE MARKET, THEY LOOK GOOD, BUT, WHEN THE GOING GETS TOUGH, THE BUMPERS LET YOU DOWN AND YOU GET OTHER PARTS OF THE ATV DAMAGED. WE DID A TEST WITH OUR NEW BUMPER AND THE OTHER GUYS BUMPER HEAD ON AT 5 MILES AN HOUR; OUR BUMPER SUFFERED A SCRATCH IN THE PAINT. THE OTHER GUYS BENT AND DAMAGED THE REAR RACK AND SCARRED THE PLASTIC. BUMMER!
AFTER THAT TEST THE GUY WITH THE OTHER GUYS BUMPER WANTED ONE OF OURS SO WE BUILT HIM ONE FREE FOR LETTING US DO THE TEST.

THANKS,

ATVMASTER

P.S. THE BUSH CRAWLER DOES LOOK GOOD!
