Default Help on 02' 250EX axle please

Hi everybody! First off, this is by far the best forum I've ever used. The information on here has helped me with my project so far, and now that I'm a member, I hope to benefit others with my knowledge!

But besides that, I just swapped in a new axle along with new differential and axle bearings and seals; and on the left side (when facing the rear) the wrong seal and collar were put in. I found the seal in the diagram of the swingarm, but when I went into Honda to order all the parts they said there were no other pieces besides the seal (excluding snap-ring and bearings). A picture on another forum showed a collar on the axle, so now I'm confused. I'd like to get this figured out and done right so help me please.

Thanks everybody!

(I have two pictures on my desktop but it asks for a url when I went to put them in, so no pics)

I tried to do that under the "Add Album" tab, but all I can do is a title and description with no images. I'm new to the site so maybe I can't upload any pictures yet? Really want to get this issue solved...

I think that's awesome. Makes me feel layered.

Thanks everybody. I picked up my seal yesterday and you're right, it should just be the seal and no collar. The collar is on the brake side, not the left side. Ill get it switched asap!

Since I have people looking at the thread and Im sure it would be better not to start another thread, I have one more question.
I put 300ex front shocks on my 250ex a month ago and they bolted up perfectly fine upside down so I left them like that. The information I found on doing this said it doesn't matter, and some said its bad for them. What would be best to do? I can fabricate them to work so what would be the best to do?

As long as they bolted up they'll be fine. However, I'd put some shock covers on the since they are now upside down and the rod is closer to the ground, making it more likely to get damaged by rocks & dirt.
