I had a 200SX that did the same thing. I cleaned the tank, replaced the CDI, replaced the coil, rebuilt the carb, and the whole problem was that the plug was bad. Oh, it would spark fine when I had it out and grounded against the block. But it wasn't sparking under compression. I replaced the plug and the thing purred like a kitten.

Default honda atc

i have been riding all kinds of atc's for a long time im over im 45 years old and i got my first atc when i was 11 and i still have it....but the thing i have noticed is that when you are attemting to start your bike try take a fine peice of sand paper and clean up your spark plug before you do dont grind it down but take the blackness of it off things to do very last (cdi box as they can be expencive coil pack not expencive but usually a waste of time and spark plug wire will pretty much last forever) try polishing up the plug and get some really high octane fuel if it hasnt been running in a while it will loosen everything up hope this helped private message me if theres any other questions you have
