ive been hearing a chattering from my motor and i assumed it was the valves so i got all the plastics off to reach the valve covers but they will not budge and they dont look like theyve been sealed by anything unless its in the threads. any ideas on how i can get them off?

 

Use some heat from a propane torch. You might melt the rubber seals so grab 4 of those. Or use a bigger wrench.
