In a catolog i got it says Superwinch makes a T1500 mounting kit for the Honda Rancher 4X4 but says nothing about the 2X4. but in another catolog it just says Honda Rancher. i e-mailed them and they said they where not sure. does anyone in the forum have a winch on thier Rancher 2X4? does anyone know if the frontend is diffrent on the 2x4 and the 4x4, besides the shaft? does anyone have a winch for thier rancher 2x4? what kind? where and how much?

I have a superwinch on the front of my 4x2 Rancher. I got the mounting kit from my local dealer and it is from Moose. The kit cost around $90 but it included a roller fairlead and everthing that was needed for the installation. It is the same kit for both the 4x2 and 4x4 according to the instructions. The mounting location is good because it is about as high as possible to help keep the winch out of the mud.

I've got a Warn 2000 mounted high in the front. It sits just under the headlights. Mine didn't leave any room for an optional roller fairlead, but hey .. guess I can't have everything.

I have the Superwinch 4 x 4 mount on my Honda Rancher 2 x 4. It fits fine. There seems to be no or negligable difference.

Hey TRX,

Is it possible to mount the superwinces on the inside of the bumper or must they be mounted on the ouside of the bumper.

Thanks,

Bradley, the winch mounts under the plastic on the Rancher. It mounts behind the headlights. If you would like to see how it is mounted on the Rancher check out Texmud's web page. He has some good pictures on it.

My Warn 2500 is a tight fit under the headlights of my Rancher. The winch has already paid for its self pulling our Recon out of the mud!
