Ive gone through 2 cdi boxes in a few months and the plugs keep loosening up inside. I dont wanna buy one new cause its over $100 for a little box.. I was wondering if i can use a cdi box from a newer 300ex on my 250x? thanks

Jeff

Jeff,
check your stater, I had a similar problem. I thought it was my cdi box and it turned out to be my stater.

Yes, you definately have a problem other than the box... Check all your wiring for a short and also check your stator..

As far as the plug loosening, you mean the spark plug? If it is loosening tryputting a very small dab of very weak locktight on it. Just make sure none of it goes into the cylnder... Or, your plug hole may be getting stripped and you may need to take it soem where to get fixed.

What i mean by the pulg loosening up is.. There are 2 sets of plugs on the box, a set of 2 plugs and another set of 4. The main power plug( black and red wires) can mover around in the box. Its like the plastic housing on the box is rounded out. Because when i move the plug a certain way in the box, the quad shuts off. but if i hold it at one certain spot the quad stays running.
