Default 2007 Honda Rancher been sitting for awhile worth buying?

Hey guys...

Need some advice. I have come across a 2007 Honda Rancher 420es that is for sale in my area. It only has 273 miles on it, but has been sitting in storage for 3+/- years. I haven't had a chance to go look at it, as it is a bit away from home or work. Any thoughts as to if it is worth looking at buying? He is asking $3700 for it. He said he thinks he recalls putting fuel stabilizer in it before storing, but not 100% sure. He jump started it and it started up and ran, but as soon as he disconnected the jumper cables it died.

Any advice would be appreciated.

If it's a 4 x 4, offer $2800 - $3000. Sitting 3 years isn't bad. Prolly needs carb & tank cleaned, oil changed twice back to back, new battery, all pivots greased. So, you're looking at spending time with it but not much money. What's yoiur time worth?

Ya, it's 4x4 and fuel injected. So, I won't have to do carb, but might have to pull injector and clean it...don't know if that is easier or harder than a carb.

FI and a 4X4? If you don't buy it for $3000, I will.

There are currently 3 of these models in our local ads...This one that I've mentioned...One with 2900 Miles and a small crack in the front plastic---> Asking $3300, and one with 1200 Miles with some wear--->asking $3600. All Honda Rancher 420 ES 4x4. All Fuel injected push button shift...Just don't know which one to pursue.

At the $3000 range it should be ready to ride without doing a thing. Buy it and hope it,s something minor? No thanks move on.
Could need a $3 spark plug or a $400 brain box for the EFI control, who knows but I,m not throwing the dice on that one.
I bought a mint 2007 condition 350 Grizzly 4x4 last summer with wind shield fairing, 2500 Warn winch, passenger seat and passenger foot rest/rear fender guards for $3500 Canadian, off of a older mellow couple who used it at their cottage on weekends.
Canadian prices on new and used are known to be much higher in than the States.

I just added gas since I bought it, and that is how it has to be for me.
There just to many used ATV out there to chose from that are ready to run to bother with the ones that do not.
