We split the case on a 400ex and put it together and now when you go to shift into 5th gear it goes to neautral

 

We took it off because the guy we got it from welded the sproket to the driveshaft thing i don't know what it is called but we replaced it did we forget to add something or forget something or is mabey the gear just not even there?

 

Ever figure out what caused the problem?
