I wish we had some Global Warming up here in Minnesota. It is going to snow this weekend with highs in the 30's. I was going to go riding but no way now. I cant wait to get muddy!!!

 

Do you all remember the 70's? All the scientists were declaring that we were entering another ice age with global cooling and disasters from shortened growing seasons, an increase in the size of the polar ice caps, etc. Seems like it depends on which scientists want money. We are taught that there are many global climate changes throughout the life of this planet, and yet, they seem to forget that when it comes time to ask for more money to study the problem.

 

The more so-called education these so-called experts get the dumber they get. If we listen to them we better all put snorkles on our ATV before the sea level rises. They need to buy a quad and
learn to enjoy life like the rest of us. When these guys and their stupid theories are dead we will still be having a blast in the great outdoors. The LORD has everything in control.

First of all, in the 1970's NO ONE was talking about global cooling. Global warming was first noticed in the 1950's, and has increased steadily since then.

Thank God that it's happening slowly enough that you can't notice just by walking out your front door. If it was warming up that fast it would be too late by the time you did notice it. But don't doubt that it is happening.

Now, thanks to the infinate wisdom of George dubyah Bush there will likely be nothing done to even slow down the production of greenhouse gases, forget about reversing the trend.

I just hope that you guys are joking, and not really that ignorant.

When your argument is weak you turn imediately to personal invective. Here's a news flash for ya, not all scientists are in agreement about global warming. In fact, many scientists of good conscience believe that global warming is a flawed theory. Humans, with our short lifespans, do not experience climate, only weather. The data on climate is inconclusive since such records have only been kept accurately for a short time. Nice recitation of the Unibombers Manifesto, though.

 

thenewfiebullet: How long have we been keeping track of weather and climate in the US? Not long when compaired to the cycle of the planet and how can we tell whats a normal cycle and not normal? Surly not with only a few hundred years of data. The ICE AGE ended Thousands of years ago and the earth has been warming up ever since and it WILL NOT STOP! HUMANS have ZERO impact on the reverse of the ice age. As for these green house gases, MT St. Helons put 1,000 times the pollution in the air in the first hour or eruption than the entire United states has in the last decade and I have the data to back it up as I wrote a report in college about this very subject and many LIBERAL professors agreed with me. This is not a nasty slam agenst your post, just my 4 years of college with a forestry major 2 cents worth

It all came down to two magazine covers global warming or global cooling. TIME editors decided that Global warming sounds more serious and put fear in the minds of all the bleeding heart liberals. Global warming is a myth. You show me a study that the earth is warming and I’ll show you one that says it’s cooling.

As an example Today’s record low in MN was 2 degrees in 1969. “More evidence of global warming”

the way i see it is we're coming out of the last ice age still. man is doing nothing to warm the earth. the earth will naturally warm up to a point then it will probably start to cool down again and start to go into another ice age like it has been doing for millions of years. i do think the earth is warming but not from "Greenhouse gasses" but from natural causes. Does anyone agree?
