Alright I'll probably end up getting one then. I have to say I tried out my friends yfz and the difference between that and the 400 is crazy. I was surprised by the power difference, if I end up getting a 450 I'm thinking of getting the honda cause I always had good luck with them.

 

Stock they are close to twice the HP. The 450R is a good ride. Really any of the Japanese 450s are rock solid with a little prep. Plus you can get the stock shocks resprung and revalved. They won't be as good as full on custom Fox or Elkas, but they will be worlds ahead of what you are on now. A good 400 rider can keep a 450 at bay in the tight stuff. Once the track opens up you are going to get passed though. Again, it is all good, have fun with it. For me, my first priority is to finish. Anything after that is just cake.
