I am thinking about buying a recon. I need to know if they are a good trail riding machine.

If i buy one would i love it?
i cant afford a 4x4 so i am thinking about recon or 220 bayou
Your opinions will help me decide what to buy so be honest!

 

stick with honda, my friend had a bayou, not to offend anyone, but it was trash. very unreliable and just plain junk, something was always broke, now he owns a honda, he saw the light

 

I had a Bayou and enjoyed it but, after riding a Recon i would go with the Recon for the few extra bucks. Overall a stronger built machine.

 

Hey there travis. I had a Recon and I loved it, only reason I sold it was because I needed a better suspension. But, if you are young and healthy the Recon is a perfect trail quad! And right now the prices are great and if you buy before Sunday, like tomorrow, you will still get the 300 dollar buyer bucks! I say go for it!

recon are pretty nice quad and in my opinion very well built

 

I had a 97 Recon, loved that thing, only sold it to get a Tahoe...then got the Rancher a month ago.. That Recon is a great machine, very light and nimble, easy to throw around, toss it sideways, jump, etc. Cold blooded, but who cares, a great ride.

 

MY friend had a bayou and I thought it was great and then i bought a recon and relieze that the recon is a much beter machine , he babied it and I beat the crap out of my recon he didnt even have it a month and the botom gasket on the head blew out and ruined the motor (typical Kawasaki )
