300ex Electric start problem-reverse inhibitor unit?
So I've been tracing down an electric start problem on my 300 ex and have ran into a couple things. First it was sporadic, as in you would push it 10 times and 1 one of the times it would start. I traced that down to what I think was a bad connections in one of the cable boots. (corroded). After I did that it worked perfectly every time I pushed the button. Now it's not working at all.
Current synopsis: pull the clutch and push the button: nothing. When I disconnect the wire boot that has the black, light green, grey/black and the grey wire from the reverse inhibitor unit. (leaving the others plugged in)it will turn over but not start. Does this mean it's stuck in reverse or what? |
Just verified it is not in reverse.
Any thoughts? |
