Default buying 400ex

Hey there honda guys, im usually over on the polaris forums, but I needed to stop in over here for a question. Im looking for another project atv I usually stick to polaris since thats what I know best, but I came across a 99 400ex for sale. The guy says it has a blown head gasket. He said its bored .050 over with a stage 2 hot cam he also says its been jetted. I have not seen it in person but it looks to be in good condition from the pictures. He is asking $400 for it. Sound like a good deal? Ive read that these things like to pull out head studs with the 440 kits. Would it being only .050 over cause this? I just dont want to get this thing and have it be a complete money pit, I usually try to find projects that are still in stock form. Thanks!

.50 over should be OK with the stock studs, but it is easy enough to change them out when you replace the head gasket for piece of mind. If it is JUST a blown head gasket and that is all it needs to ride, that is a deal I would jump on.
