My trx never starts up very good. I always have to give it a lot of gas to get it to start initially and if I let it idle it dies. I have also noticed that the choke doesnt help. It actually starts up better without the choke. What could my problem be? My friend told me that most 400's are like that and they don't start up the best but this can't be true. Any ideas?

 

In my opinion, not only are most 400's like that, but most Honda's are like that. I have a 250 Recon that starts the same way. No choke, it starts, but won't idle for maybe 7 minutes. But once it is warm, it starts and idles really quick. And all the Honda's I've ever had were the same way.
