I am looking to get a new ATV. I've got a Recon now and want either a 400EX or a 300EX. The only problem is that I can't find any used 400's under 3500, which is my price limit. Does anyone know where I can find one or if it's even possible to get them that cheap. If not I'll have to settle for a modded 300.

 

There is no chance you could find a 400ex under 3500. MAYBE it is possible but I doubt it, if it is that cheap that has got to be something wrong with it. You couldnt even get a modded 300 for that cheap. you could probably get a stock or close to it 300 for around 3500. Unless you have your heart set on honda, you should take a look at yamaha blasters. it could be 3500 out the door for a new one. Blasters are pretty good too. They keep up with the big boys pretty good.

 

My buddy picked up a 99 400EX for $3400 last month off of an individual here in Illinois. It looks pretty rough and needed all four tires but it still runs great.

This guy looked for about six months before he found this one - if you are lucky and patient you can find one although I think he got a HELL of a deal at $3400.

 

You should be able to find one if not, easily find a 300EX there are some 300's for sale around here in the 2000-2500 dollar range. there are even a couple 1987 250r's for under 3 grand.

 

I am doing the same thing ATVer14, I have been looking on Ebay. There are some pretty good deals there, although you can't ride or look at them before you purchase them.

 

I see 300EXs all the time around here for $2500 - $3000. I've never seen a 400EX as low as $3500, but you could stumble onto a deal. Have the cash at hand and be ready when the ads come out! Early bird gets the worm.

it needs rear tires and plastic is not perfect but plastic is cheap

my buddy is going to buy it since it seemed to be such a good deal

Check TRADER.COM There are at least 10 on there every time i look,ranging from $3500 to $5000. Call and make an offer on one there asking $4000 for and you'll get one.Most of the atv are in ky or tn .
