how much for my 250r?

I am thinking between 4500-5000.

The only things are the bottom of the frame is pretty scratched up.And it leaks a LITTLE oil.Not much but enough to make a puddle after about 2 weeks of sittin.It will start on the 1st kick everytime.I consider it race ready.here are the mods

wiseco .020 piston
low-mid porting by a local shop
boyesen reeds
FMF gold series fatty pipe
power core 2 silencer
JD performance +2 A-arms
white bro's white power shocks with adjustable piggy back res's,adjustable preload,udjustable,and adjustable ride height
Dg alloy series nerfs
Durablue eliminator 2+2 adjustable width axle

Renthal trx250r bend handlebars
Ac stadium series front bumper with # plate
909 grips
nac's casesaver
uni filter
motion pro clutch cable
fastline braided steel front brake lines
braking brake pads on rear
PEP easy pull clutch lever and perch
pro design kill switch
18/11/8 holeshot mx's on mitchell .190's
21/7/10 holeshots on ITP wide off-set .190's


I will also throw in the stock shocks,A-arms,exhaust,front wheels and tires,and whatever else I have.

does this sound like a fair price?

Thats a fair asking price,considering I spent about 7 grand building one similar to your R.Why sell it? Getting something else? What?

I am looking at a new raptor or 400ex.Not sure yet but leaning towards the raptor.Everyboy and their brother has a 400ex.I am sure everybody will also have a raptor.But we will be faster than the 400ex's!My 250r is faster than my cousin's ex and I want to get something that is still faster!

I was eating Raptors at the drags with my trail rider 250R...I'd keep the R rather than buy a Raptor that you'll spend a ton of money making as fast and handle as well as your R.

U can't ride my 250r in the woods!That is mainly where I ride.The plug loads up and fouls.It is an awesome handling fast qaud.I want something i can screw around on but is still quick enough to beat my couisin and maybe harescramble.The raptor fills the bill perfectly.The 400ex does to but I want something that everybody doesn't have.

If your R is loading up and fouling plugs you need to rejet your carb. That would take care of the problem. Didn't anybody ever tell you that? It's easy to do and inexpensive and you retain the best quad ever made.

If your R is to wide for the trails but the stock aarms and other componts back on. If you sell the R you will regret it later on. But if you jsut put the stock parts back on you can always go back to the mx setup if you please.

And any new quad makes u want to sell ur old one.

I can see everyone's point.Everybody at school Thinks I am crazy to.

About the rejet.I am running a 152 main.It has almost a perfect tan color.Not lean not rich.It runs awesome in wideopen area's and drags it is is just when U get in tight woods or places there is no trail It starts loading up.

You guys sure are making me think.My 250r is sweet I know that.The raptor nor the 400ex handle as well.The raptor maybe faster (that is maybe)


Those new quads sitting there sure are nice though!


Also If I want to race my qaud is already set up.I do plan on racing more this year.Even though the AMA fee went up to 40 bucks.I nned to have my shocks revalved and then it is ready.I am alos going to get a lonestar swingamr and carrier if I keep it.

Your plugs fouls in "tight and technical" stuff? You need a smaller pilot jet. Again, inexpensive and easy to do.
If it runs great wide open and the plug is the right color, then the main jet is fine.

you could be mixing the oil too rich, what is your ratio?
