Steering Stablizer- 400ex
#1
What the heck does a steering stablizer do? In what situation will these come in handy? I've never noticed a steering problem with my 400ex- so I imagine these only work in special situations. What is a good brand to go with for the 400ex? How much do they cost? and how easy are they to install?
Thanks

This has been has been talked about very much, do some back checking. But, here is a quick review. All types of racing quads use them. What try do is stop the handle bars from wanting to more from side to side when going straight. In the corner from the bars wanting to straighten back center. Try and buy one that is rebuilable, because they will wear out is about a year. It is about like a shock on your steering shaft.

I have one because it helps give me more control where I lack upper body strength. It also saves your wrists when you slam into a rock or root. I have very small wrists and I don't want to test their breaking ability. I think it is well worth the money for the aggressive recreational rider. I keep mine set on the hardest setting but most of my friends keep theirs on the second or third setting.
