Just got my new a-arms in and have questions, please help me out

Hey I just got Bateman 3+3 a-arms in and have taken off the stockers, but the things that go in between the a-arms (bushings? seals? bearings? not sure) I cant get them out of the stockers. The company i bought them from said that everything should be complete. So i shouldnt have to buy anything else to make them work. Is there a trick to getting them out? Or do I need new ones? Thanks

Your bushngs should be reusable, although it's a good bet to get bronze bushings.
To take them off the ols AArms, just tap them gently with a screwdriver and a hammer. Emphasis on gently. they should slowly come out. To see i they're worn or not, check the interior hole. If it's round, compare the size with the bolt(?) that goes inside, it should be a little tight. If the hole is oval -> trash.
Anyways, if they didn't give you new bushings, for 500+ a set of AArms cost, they're pretty cheap. You should call them and ask...sounds real cheap to me.

Thanks zorro, I already tried to get them out earlier and basically when i hit them, they scrunched together. I would hit one side and it would slowly scoot towards the other side, but the other side wouldnt budge out a bit. Any other advice? I will call and ask them for a new set, they did say everything would be complete. Any other advice on how to get them out?

Have you tried tapping them from the inside with a long screwdriver, that would sort of take the shape of the inner part of the bushiing? That's how I do with bearings. Find the biggest bit that fits and tap gently until it comes out...but I guess you have bushings on both sides.
If the outside part is "big" enough, take a clamp and set the opening smaller than the bushing, but bigger than the AArm tube. Put the clamp against the bushing, and again, tap gently (it should apply the force on both sides at the same time)...
don't know what to say!! when we changed the rear suspension bushings of my dad's sled, they were falling apart. hehe.
Again, for 600$ you should have had bushings (I think we're all ok on this).
Good luck...keep cool (those are the things that make me mad...when things don't go the way they should, and I don't get why)
