Default Honda Four Trax 300 (2003)

I just purchased a used 2003 Honda Four Trax 300... I had the 250 four trax years ago that had a hand activated clutch just like my motorcycle... Anyway, took it riding today, and it seems to shift better without using what I was told is a clutch lever by the seller... My question is; Is the lever on the left hand side a clutch, or just a parking break??? I stopped using it, and it seemed to shift better without trying to use that lever as a clutch... The park break is activated, and I feel the rear brake pedal depress a little when I squeeze that lever to set the park brake... May be a stupid question, but I'm not familiar with this bike, and I don't think the previous owner was very familiar either... I also have no manual for the ATV... Any information to include where to search for an owners manual is greatly appreciated....

If its a 2003 trx 300 then it should be a chain drive 300 ex. Those have a manual clutch. If its chain drive then thats what it is and that left lever is the clutch. If its shaft drive, then its a rancher 350 like mine and it has the automatic clutch where you only shift with your foot or use electric shift. A 300 ex looks like this A Rancher 350 looks like this

Thanks everyone... I actually found an owners manual on-line... Good info that the ATV is the 300 EX as shown in your picture... That was very helpful in determining the model, and will definitely be useful when ordering parts in the future... I did find the information in the owner's manual I downloaded... I have determined that the hand lever on the left side is actually only a secondary rear brake, and park brake... Again, I want to thank you all for your input... If anyone should happen to need to get a free owner's manual for this type ATV let me know, and I'll send you a link....
