Which is fastest a stock 400EX or a stock 250X. I have a 250X with a performance exhaust and it blows stock 300EX's away. I have never personally raced a stock 400EX, but I've heard a 250X will keep up with a 400EX. THANKS

 

dude,,think about it. over 150 more ccs, about the same weight, i think this all adds up to a 400ex eating up a 250x (stock for stock)

 

I have a modded 250X (k&n, jetted, piped, bored, cam, gears, etc.) and it still can't hang with my friends stock 400EX...

now the 400 can't pull away until it hits 4th gear, but then the 250x starts to fall back.

And suspension wise, the 400 is far superior

the only plus of owning a 250x is that mine's paid for, it has reverse, and I can always start it because I never have a dead battery since it's a kick start.

Other than that, I'm always thinking about buying a 400EX...

but I think I'll wait and see what Honda comes out with in the next year or so... maybe that 450 or 650EX with reverse??? yeah!
